New Allium Print

It is the time of year for Alliums here in Portland and i cant get enough of them. I love the unexpected globes of purple that show up in my garden. So, I had to make a print! Here is the new allium print in tea towel form. I am bringing some of these lovely towels to an event at the Ace Hotel hosted by Erin Loechner of the blog Design for Mankind. She is hosting a class/ workshop for creative types and i am contributing to her gift bags! Wish i was taking the class too! Here are some shots of the new print and towels all wrapped up and on their way.

The Start of the camping season 2011!

So i just needed to show what a wonderful weekend we had camping over memorial day. Eric Maggie and i set out Friday night while it was hailing in Portland to go to the coast. I have to be honest I didnt have much confidence that our camping trip would last the whole weekend. I am sort of a fair weather camper and the forecast did not look good. But this is why you never trust the weather man! We had a beautiful weekend and only some slight drizzle every so often. Our campsite was amazing and our activities included: hiking, fishing, cooking, surfing (well eric did, i sat in the sun!), eating crab... sigh i am ready to go back. Here are some of my favorite hipstamatics from the weekend...

The tarp with the leaves above was doing some incredible things... I have about a dozen photos like this

New enamel mugs from the thrift store on the coast. Great addition to our camping gear

The first Blog Post!

Hello all,

So i have never done this before. The whole blogging world has always seemed a little intimidating to me... and also fun. I mean i take photos all the time, but then never do anything with them, so my new summer resolution is to begin an online journal. Some of it will be work, but mostly fun. I suppose when your work is silkscreening and sewing it all is fun.

So here we go. I wanted to start off first by giving you a taste of the West elm Show that took place two weekend ago. It was such a great show. Great vendors and a good crowd of people. I got some store interest from the show, and just yesterday dropped off some goods at Branch and Birdie down in SE...
Anna, the owner is so lovely, and the shop has such beautiful things. I will post more shop locations as i drop off inventory!  Here is a photo of the booth looking slightly disheveled at this point in the day.  So the show was a success, i hope there will be another one soon!
